The next chapter: beyond the first year of grad sch...

School's out! Two weeks ago, the final exam was turned in... and that marked the end of 1st yr of grad sch. =) boy, am i glad to be done with classes (for now). just another elective in 2nd yr and the ethics class... and that's it. yay!

also, i'm officially done with the lab hopping business. 3 rotations is more than enough, and it was finally time when i'm no longer labelled 'temporary' stepping into a lab. ^_^ Decided to join Bill Weiss's lab working on neuro-oncology. i did my first rotation with them way back in the fall quarter last year, and really enjoyed it. There is definitely a nice mix of people who work/play together well. The science is interesting and there's definitely a lot of opportunities in terms of projects. I just started going into lab this week, so have been spending time just chilling a bit, (trying to) read a bit... it's early days of cos, but hopefully some exciting projects will start brewing soon!


The past week or two have been quite happening... taking advantage of the summer season, plus our lack of classes (= free time + no stress)... we had lotsa events/activities lined up! Haven't been keeping up with the blogging... but it will happen soon, so stay tuned!
