winter break mini-trip part 2 - first day in vegas baby!
and so we reached vegas! BUT at the most unearthly hour of the day at 3am. =P kudos to darling who took over and drove the night leg from highway 1 to vegas... (i drove the highway 1 day leg. ^_^)
the fremont street, a distance off the main vegas strip.

our vegas home for the next 4 nights in the fairy tale world... the Excalibur.
of cos, one of the highlights of vegas is that it's a miniworld... =P we have: newyork, newyork...

the streets of new york... fm mimicking the many phone calls he had to make back in the undergrad days... =P

the eiffel tower in paris...
the arc de triomphe in paris...

flying over to the trevi fountain of italy...

and the many many hotels that lined the vegas strip...

vegas is blazing bright at night... with all the hotels lit up like christmas trees...

of cos, food galore in the many hotels/restaurants that litter the streets of vegas... our champagne buffet at the Mandalay Bay... cheers!

FM was stocking his plate up with prawns and crab legs... =P

a nice soothing treat at night is to simply stand and watch the bellagio fountains... very much like the back-then musical fountains at Sentosa.

Darling the night driver was so shacked that he had taken the day off to nap in the hotel... and finally woke up in the evening to join me at the fountains! -muack!-

the interior decorations of the hotels never fail to impress the loads of visitors to vegas...

vegas also meant more margaritas! there is a jimmy buffett's margaritaville restaurant on the strip, where we had some drinks with dinner... =)
my fancy blue-colored margarita...
