my first pumpkin carvings!

3 years in Duke, but I never got down to carving a pumpkin. =P and finally, this year (or actually last year) I did! and not only did i carve a pumpkin, i carved 2 great pumpkins!!! =D

#1: At Rob's place

My first ever pumpkin carving! nothing too fancy or ambitious, but cute, happy and adorable!

everyone hard at work...

lyndsay and candia with their smiley face pumpkin... halfway there!

FM and our completed pumpkin! (aww... aren't the identical twins simply adorable??)

me and my baby... success!

a smiley pumpkin trying to be scary... hmmm... for a while, this was (no thanks to a certain someone from the lab.. eh-em..) my profile picture for the Weiss lab website... i made sure my face was seen in the updated one. lol.

now this was a real good scary one by kasia... (AH!!)

our platoon of pumpkins!

and to top the night off, we even had homemade pumpkin ice-cream!!!! made from scratch, using dry ice, patience and constant stirring, of cos the love and care (from all the hungry eyes and stomachs!!!) YUM!

------------------------------------------------

the happy pumpkin becomes somewhat a creepy pumpkin after a week... the mold turned from white, to black... and the pumpkin turned soggy and eww-y.... yikes!

Youbin graciously invited us to his house for a pumpkin carving session as part of his housewarming... project #2, here we come!
After a successful carving #1, FM and I decided to be ambitious this time. we learnt how to crawl.. and now we go straight for the supersonic flight!! =D

youbin had bought the pumpkin carving kit, and we decided on the picture of 3 wolves howling with the moon in the background. it was gonna be so tedious...... but we persevered...

and we did it! the house was certainly filled with pros.. and everyone carved out amazing pumpkin lanterns! a GREAT JOB, everyone! cheers!

our final product. all the blood, sweat and tears... =P

happy halloween!!
