Tokyo, Japan part 2!
We spent few hours in the morning roaming the streets of Ginza, the equivalent of Singapore's Orchard Road area I would say... tall buildings, shopping plazas and office buildings.. the streets filled with crowds of people weaving around.
The famous 4-chome crossing, where all traffic stops when the lights turn red, and it's the pedestrian's sole right of way to cross anywhere. Singapore's Orchard area actually has one too, around Taka/Paragon area, but only limited to specific timings.

Thanks to our dearest Frommers, we got a good recommendation to one of the restaurants in the basement food alley of a shopping complex.
Welcome to Sushi Fukusuke! Our first taste of real Japanese sushi in Japan, and the first time we had the honor of sitting right in front of the chef!

Just looking at the big slabs of shiny fresh fish meat was enough to get us salivating! hmmmm......

The chef preparing our sashimi...

The Japanese, always well-noted for their meticulous attention to fine details and presentation!

Doesn't this look simply De-li-cious!!!!!!

A close-up at the huge juicy pieces of sashimi...

Happy and satisfied with our meal, we next went to the Meiji Shrine at Shibuya. Thankfully we got there in time before they shut the gates, at least we could go in to see. =P but there wasn't much things going on already. but nevertheless, nice place, and we did have a good long satisfying meal!
The big torii (Japanese gate) of Meiji Shrine

More cleansing...

The shrine - wooden, simple yet majestic.

The golden-haired me taking a bow, praying...
the typical shrine praying etiquette: Bow twice, clap twice, pray and then bow once.

Night falls, and we head to Takeshita street just next to the shrine at Harajuku, where little shops - fashion shops, souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants - lined the street. And there, darling went into a crepe craze! =)
his first crepe, with strawberries, cream and chocolate sauce (i think). he had another fancier one later, with a stick of cheesecake, ice-cream, bananas, cream and maybe strawberries... he certainly was very satisfied!

Us in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Tower, one of the highlights of Tokyo. The top floor has a observation deck to catch a good view of the Tokyo city skyline.

the tokyo city view from up above...

Taka and HMV! too bad we din have time during our trip to pop in and do a little shopping around. the shops close too early, 8pm!!

we saw sakura wine at one of the shops. and just for fun, we bought one bottle to bring back to try! =) was very mild, lightly sweet and fragrant... and it had little gold flower-shaped flakes inside the wine.
enjoying ourselves with silly poses... =P

wine is served!

oh yes, darling went to the 24-hr mart and got a cup (bowl) noodle to try, plus since we had snacks all the way and not really a proper dinner. =P it had a dried piece of meat which softened when "cooked" by the hot water... and it tasted not bad indeed!

me acting silly again. haha.. and i had the gold flower flake at the tip of my tongue! do u see it?
