Amazing 80s Isuzu Gemini TV advertisement

Beautiful stunts and perfect choreography.
No CGI involved!

The Inner Life of a Cell
in addition, bio majors will be interested in this 3min feature "The Inner Life of a Cell" created by CGI animators for harvard biology undergraduates (they have a 8min version for themselves). multiple aspects of the cell is vividly presented, definitely a good way to attract the attention of high school students/young undergraduates to the abstract science of molecular and cell biology.

the lab rat + the textbook worm = ?

my classes this fall:

Bio 205L : bio research lab course, focussing on developmental bio, introducing the various research model organisms - drosophila, arabidopsis, zebrafish, sea urchin. doing actual novel expts, collect data and hopefully get interesting results! very enjoyable, but requires HUGE investment of time and energy, even outside of class time.

indpt study: it's been a year since i started in the lab, starting to get more into the real work. but i need more time to do my expts!!! after the summer stint in the lab, seems like nothing gets done during the semester.. hmph.

immunology: since i'm in an immunology lab, good to know the theory behind the stuff i'm doing. besides, it's one of the basic foundations courses which are good to take. but unfortunately, i cant depend on the lecture and gotta read the tb (which takes a super long time).

abnormal psy: interesting class, shouldn be too hard. but need to read the tb too! arghz. just gotta squeeze out time to read.

interesting how i'm only taking 4 classes, and yet i'm so busy, so tired liao. oh dear. jas must jiayou! =P

but meanwhile, working towards 19 DAYS FROM TODAY! fall break = darling = turning 21!

the dichotomy

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
- Terry Pratchett

A great many people think they are thinking when they are really rearranging their prejudices.
